Phat Boy Burgers: Where Passion Meets the Grill

After more than 15 years of working behind the scenes in restaurants, pubs, and kitchens, we knew it was time for a change. It wasn’t enough to just cook food anymore—we wanted to create something special. One night, after a long shift, we started experimenting with different flavors, and that’s when it hit us: smoky, juicy, melt-in-your-mouth double cheeseburgers. It was the perfect balance of comfort food with a bold, unforgettable twist.

Phat Boy Burgers was born out of a love for good food and the drive to do things our way. We traded the restaurant kitchen for a food van so we could share our passion on the streets, serving up our signature smoked double cheeseburgers wherever hunger calls. Every burger tells our story—one of taking a leap, following our dreams, and sharing the food we love with the world. Come join us on this flavourful journey!

Matthew Wilson

I started Phat Boy Burgers as only a phat man knows how burgers should be made. I have had a passion for food all of my life and I have spent over 20 years in this industry. Phat Boy Burgers gives me the chance to share my passion with everyone.

I started cooking in kitchens back when I was a teenager, and that spark for good food never went away. Today, I’m lucky enough to do things my way—serving burgers made with passion and plenty of flavour.
